Read Good Books

In life, there are few things that are as productive as reading good books.  It's an inexpensive education.  There are basically two kinds of "good books".  The main ones I like to read are non-fiction along the lines of self-improvement, business, investing, psychology, history, biographies, etc.  I could list 100 books here that are excellent sources of information.  Other kinds of good books are fiction novels and short stories.  Don't think that because you are in science, business, medicine or dentistry, that you cannot find inspiration from great works of fiction.  I am a particular fan of Sherlock Holmes mysteries.  Here a few books I am reading right now...

Giving Back

I have somehow have found time to be on the Board of the 3to1 Foundation.

This is a non-profit organization dedicated to financial education.  We also award scholarships and have raised and distributed funds for disaster relief.  One of the cornerstone activities of the foundation is our Accumulating Wealth Seminar.  This presentation gives advice on budgeting, saving money, debt management, tax consequences, investing basics, retirement plans, and all the financial stuff you wish you knew when you were younger.

If you can attend one of our accumulating wealth seminars, please check out the website at 3to1foundation.org and look for upcoming  Seminars.
